Now that Independent voters outnumber Democrats & Republicans, How will they pander to them? My 1st Blog

Americans has awaken the two-party system scam. Left & Right wing incumbents sitting comfortably in office is seeing this dramatic shift. Let's be real, they brought this on themselves. Their consistent petty 5th grade bickering has become an embarrassment to the people they represent. Besides the obvious increasing divisive attitudes between the two, the NO#'s Speak for themselves: "An average 43 percent of Americans identified politically as independents in 2014," said analyst Jeffery M. Jones, who adds that that number is the highest since he began tracking party affiliation in 1988"

Both groups' overall satisfaction rate dropped again between 2008 and 2011, as both party brands began to suffer amid a spate of bad economic news and passage of laws that were (and remain) politically unpopular, such as the Affordable Care Act. "Republicans' satisfaction went from a peak of 79% in 2005 to a low of 28% in each of the past two years. Meanwhile, Democrats' satisfaction has been remarkably steady, generally hovering near 50%, and is essentially the same as it was in 2004 under a Republican president," said Gallup.
Voter dissatisfaction with Congress overall has been declining in recent years. In 2011, The New York Times
reported that just 12 percent of Americans held a favorable view of the Legislative Branch. The Gallop poll shows
-- only 18% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing. This rating has been low for some time, and has not cracked 25% since 2009.
Congressional Job Approval Ratings: 2009-2016
Americans' Evaluation of Government as of 2018
Overall, Americans' views of government remain negative. Most U.S. adults are dissatisfied with how the executive and legislative branches are doing their jobs, and majorities hold unfavorable views of both major political parties. Even Republicans rate Congress negatively, despite their party being in control of both chambers.

  1. Americans' frustration with government is focused on Washington, D.C. This is seen in trust and approval ratings they give to the executive and legislative branches -- especially Congress. U.S. adults maintain higher levels of trust in the judicial branch as well as state and local government.
  2. Barely a quarter of Americans, 28%, currently say they are satisfied with the way the nation is being governed. This is below the average of 38% found in the 22 times Gallup has asked this question since 1971 but still above the low point of 18%, recorded during the federal government shutdown in October 2013.
  3. Americans' low trust in many aspects of their government is part of a general trend of declining trust in U.S. institutions. But even in this broad context, the government is particularly suspect in the public's eyes. The federal government has the least positive image of any business or industry sector measured, Congress engenders the lowest confidence of any institution that Gallup tests, and Americans rate the honesty and ethics of members of Congress as the lowest among 22 professions in Gallup's most recent update

As some one who smarten up & emerged as an independent, I WAS a registered JACKASS, this duzzin' make me feel good in regards of future American voters, particularly 4 our millenials & where we're heading. We've been stuck in this two-party hustle like a bad dream we can't wake up from. Elephants & Jackasses have had their fun with the abuse of Power, NOW if this isn't the time for a awake up call, IDK what is. Us Baby boomers has to be an example to millenials on how we see ourselves in future elections.  I hope dis lack of functionalilty duzzing Chase away ppl from casting their voice like in the 2016 POTUS election where 47.5 of registered voters didn't cast a vote.  To realize the importance of making your voice heard, lets GO BACK 55 years to the Kennedy-Nixon election. Although Kennedy won by almost 16% electoral votes, he BARELY won the popular votes by 119K+. Kennedy social & economic policies were drastically different than Tricky Dick. The Civil Rights Bill that was signed in 1964 with Johnson assuming responsibility of continuing Kennedy's policies after his Assassination in November '63. Civil Rights movement would of had an most different turnout if Nixon was president during the early sixties. Vice President Nixon remained strongly opposed to court-ordered busing and came out for the concept of the neighborhood school. He proposed that Congress ban court-ordered busing, ordered the Justice Department to oppose busing orders in pending lawsuits, and called for a $1.5 billion program of new federal aid for school districts in the process of dismantling their segregated facilities & to end the use of federal funds for busing. Not to mention, the Kennedy's campaign did take advantage of an opening when Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the civil-rights leader, was arrested in Georgia while leading a civil rights march. Nixon refused to become involved in the incident, but Kennedy placed calls to local political authorities to get King released from jail, and he also called King's father and wife. As a result, King's father endorsed Kennedy, and he received much favorable publicity in the black community. On election day, Kennedy won the black vote in most areas by wide margins, and this may have provided his margin of victory in states such as New Jersey, South Carolina, Illinois, and Missouri. Well that's part of our history and how politics differ from then to today. Independents seem to be more in touch with the struggles that everyday Americans are going thru.
This is not just an issue of who to vote 4, but getting disgruntled voters out to make their voices heard. In 2016 & 2020, how people see themselves as voters will disturb the do-nothing incumbents and deal with a new type of constituents.  I definitely am looking forward to views, whether for or against. Much love to My fellow opinionated readers.
